ChickenKidz Consignment Sale
It doesn’t have to be NEW to be PERFECT
Got kids? Yep, us too. 3 of them. And wow, from tot to teen – uber-expensive! But you’re a smart, savvy Mom which is why you’re reading this post. So you will want to check this out – ChickenKidz is a 3 day Children’s Consignment Sale being held at the Riverhead Polish Hall September 7-9. If you have never been to a children’s consignment event, expect to be hooked!
A consignment sale is not just a very large garage sale. Oh no! Our venue is set up as temporary “store” complete with scanners, registers and bar-coded tags for quick and easy check-out. Consignors set their own prices and tag their own items at their leisure (you can even use a tagging gun if you want, cool, right?!) and the ChickenKidz Team handles the rest – which includes intense advertising to bring in hundreds of shoppers. Automatically earn 65% of your sales and up to 80% through various volunteer efforts (which are easy and fun). Along with Expectant Moms, Consignors and Volunteers also get the chance to shop during a private PreSale party before the sale is open to the general public. Sweet!
So let’s talk about the shopping – serious shopping. And you don’t have to be a consignor to shop. 50-90% off retail prices. Clothing up to size 14, shoes, toys, nursery items, strollers, little tikes, toddler beds, books, movies, even things for your older kids like video games and sports equipment. ChickenKidz is all about quality. Thanks to our strict team of inspectors, anything that shows excessive wear, is stained, damaged or out of style is returned to the Consignor. From one chick to another, you won’t want to miss this sale.
Register to consign for our Fall/Winter event at www.chickenkidz.com before the end of April and tell us HAVEKIDS referred you and we’ll send you $5 in Mommy Money to use towards any ChickenKidz event. It’s cool, it’s green, it’s SMART.

One of the great things about summer is all the free concerts, popping up all over the place. Where we live, there are concerts to go to almost any night of the week in one town or another, usually sponsored by chambers of commerce, but often by fire departments, ambulance companies or towns themselves.
A quick study in gas station soda deals
I was thinking today a little bit about a few money-saving habits I have; one that many might not think of when they think great savings. 2 free games of bowling every night, all summer long
Two bowling alleys near my house (One in Port Jefferson Station and one in Patchogue) are participating in KidsBowlFree.com‘s program, which allows qualifying kids to bowl 2 free games a day, all Summer long.
The games are given free of charge, courtesy of participating alleys, with the goal of promoting the sport of bowling and a safe way for families to have fun all summer long.
Each bowling center, school or organization will have its own criteria for qualifying kids who can participate, so head on over to their home page, click on your state and look for the nearest bowling alley. There, you can read the rules, sign up for email updates, and even coupons for free games to be sent right to your inbox!
Time to dust off the shoes and pack up the kids… we’re going bowling!
